D-102 – SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER in ANN ARBOR, MI

Opal-RT Technologies Inc. provides software, hardware, and related services for real-time simulation, control system development and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, by enabling real-time parallel processing and simulation through flexible and affordable technologies. Our internationally distributed products are used in the automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors. We are currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Account Manager in Ann Arbor, MI.

Responsibilities

The senior account manager’s main responsibility will be to promote the growth of our already established business base within the automotive industry in the North-Eastern United States, and particularly with large automotive accounts. He or she must have a strong hands-on experience in this industry, as he or she will be in charge of finding new customers, with the support of at least one applications-engineer. The selected candidate will also work with all the other departments in the company in order to set adequate objectives for his or her territory, ensure client satisfaction and loyalty, as well as provide proper services to prospective customers. The senior account manager will be able to work from his or her residence, but traveling across the territory approximately 25% of the time will be expected of him or her.

Like all professionals involved with sales and account management, our ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and excellent listener. He or she must also be able to understand quickly the technical problems facing current and future clients, in order to be able to work with them, and with us, to find the tailor-made solutions that will help them achieve their production objectives.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background and the ability to quickly grasp new and innovative technologies;
  • 10 to 15 years experience in sales of technical software or related areas, with a particular focus on simulators, specialized computer systems and real-time control equipment. Equivalent experience in the automotive industry will be taken under serious consideration;
  • A Bachelor’s degree in science is expected, but other very serious assets might be taken into account;
  • Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, an ability to make public presentations, and a certain facility in preparing written documents;
  • As he or she will be working from home, far from the head-office, our senior account manager must be organized, autonomous, and dynamic.

Other assets

  • Knowledge of Simulink or MATRIXx;
  • Knowledge of real-time applications market;
  • Knowledge of control systems.
