Course title:   OP-106: Python API and Orchestra training

Course description:  Python API is an essential tool when it comes to automated test scripts. This class is developed to allow the engineers to understand the most used RT-LAB API (Python) and to be able to take advantage of its integration in RT-LAB.

Orchestra (also API-based) is a tool developed by Opal-RT for co-simulation. It allows the user to connect models from Dymola, Simulink, Fortran and C-code in a same running simulation. At the end of the training the user shall be able to connect one RT-LAB framework to one or several clients.

Duration:    1 day (course of 7 hours)

Prerequisite:  OP-101

Language: English, French, Mandarin, Spanish

Material:  PowerPoint presentation, user manual, Simulink and API examples.

Objectives:
  

  • Knowing about Python basics
  • Knowing how to build and run a basic python script from RT-LAB Interface
  • Understanding the use of Orchestra
  • Being able to configure a domain in Orchestra and to run a basic Simulink client / framework example

  • Module 1: Python basics and integration into RT-LAB
  • Module 2: Orchestra description and configuration
