Simulation using TSB in case of absence of switch gate signals
In RT-Event/RTE-drive version 3.1 and 3.2, the 2-Level TSB and 3-Level TSB blocks are INACCURATE when simulating the effect of completely shutting off all IGBT gate pulses, such as emergency shutdown. This kind of cases have the effect of letting the anti-parallel diode turn on/off naturally, a case for which those two blocks are not designed.
Alternatively, a new type of TSB, the High Impedance Time Stamped Bridge, has been developed in RT-Events/RTE-drive 3.2. They are currently located in the private library due to its preliminary stage, but they have been validated by quite a few HIL tests in real projects.
You can find those blocks by typing >rte_drive_private_lib> in the MATLAB command window.
In the attachment, there is an example to show how to use the high impedance block. More details please refer to the RT-Event 3.2 user manual.
