The new OP4510 is a compact, affordable, yet powerful entry-level real-time simulator designed to bring OPAL RT’s core strengths to a wide user base in mechatronics and power grid engineering. Its components were selected for their power and accessibility, keeping the product in line with OPAL-RT’s goal of making real-time simulation affordable to all.
The OP4510 marks a significant evolution of the OP4500 family, bringing a new level of connectivity, expandability, and versatility to the platform. It accepts up to four mezzanine boards supporting virtually any combination of I/O interfaces. It also features two expansion boards to support up to sixteen RS422 channels, or six optional optical links at 50 Mbps, and four optional small form-factor pluggable (SFP) module connectors, assuring future interface requirements are met. It also includes additional LEDs for improved usability.
