RT-LAB TestFlight

  • PC based
  • Flexible I/O (related to interfacing to PC) VME, PCI, ISA, cPCI, etc...
  • Realistic, consistent signals for injection to hardware
  • Black box configuration: no modeling, no compilation, no coding
  • Inexpensive - minimal risk
  • Easy to use: just open box and connect hardware and run
  • Aircraft control via joystick or autopilot mode using waypoint navigation
  • Full access to model and displays is available for advanced users. Required RT-LAB, DINAMO and MATLAB/SIMULINK software licenses.
  • Customizable scenery and avionic displays: X-Plane, VAPS, LabView, Altia, MultiGen-Pradigm, Sense8, etc...

RT-LAB TestFlight allows control engineers to test their avionics code in close-to-reality simulated scenarios as if they were embedded in a real aircraft. Running on the RT-LAB real-time platform, the supplied Opal-RT aircraft model has been developed as a first-pass dynamic simulation by world-class aerodynamics engineers. See "About the Aircraft Model" for more details.

The RT-LAB TestFlight aircraft simulator allows the user to define realistic flight trajectories, including waypoints, or control the aircraft using a cockpit avionics display, out-the-window display and a joystick.

RT-LAB TestFlight has been designed as a high-performance real-time simulator, to be used in the design implementation and testing of hardware and avionics components. The hard-real-time capabilities of the simulator make it possible to run simulations in conjunction with external avionics and hardware equipment. The system is compatible with a broad range of commercial I/O and communication cards that can be used for interfacing with the model. Please contact our aerospace division at Opal-RT for further details.
