Texas A&M Story
Texas A&M Lab description

In this course, you will learn:

The basic theory and technology of IM/BLDC/SRM drives

  • The basics of adjustable speed control of IM/BLDC/SRM drives
  • How to build advanced controls for IM/BLDC/SRM drives
  • Example applications: traction, pumps and fans, position servo, high speeds, military, etc.
  • The theory of simulation of IM/BLDC/SRM drives
  • The fundamentals of real time simulation,
  • How to create real-time simulations of IM/BLDC/SRM drives with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)
  • How the above can be applied to your own application

You will see first-hand how the use of a model-based design approach, with tools like Simulink and RT-LAB, accelerate the design, control and study of motor drives, including how it all comes together in a hands-on demonstration of real-time simulation of IM/BLDC/SRM drives with hardware in the loop.
