RT-LAB 7.2

MATLAB R14.4 (R14 SP2) Fully Supported

RT-LAB 7.2 extends the range of supported modeling tools to include the latest version of MATLAB and Simulink.

Please Note: ARTEMIS is not compatible with MATLAB R14.4 (R14 SP2), however it is compatible with R14.1 (R14 SP1).

Full Integration with TestStand

TestStand is a ready-to-run test management environment for automating your test and validation systems. It is designed to maximize test-code reuse through built-in language adapters and simplify maintenance by using a modular fully customizable test-system framework. TestStand provides an editor for you to visualize the code while you are using your preferred language/tool.

RT-LAB 7.1

MATLAB R14.1 (R14 SP1) Fully Supported

RT-LAB 7.1 extends the range of supported modeling tools to include the latest version of MATLAB and Simulink.

Python Script in Real-Time

Until now, Python has been used to control automatic execution of real-time simulations on the host system. This has largely restricted its use to purely supervisory control of the simulation run. In RT-LAB 7.1, you can run the Python scripts in hard real time on the target systems, extending its capability to very accurate control of the model. Furthermore, the Python script can be modified and reloaded using the new automatic file transfer function without the need for resetting or recompiling the model.

CAN DBC Interface

The new CAN blockset packs in a rich set of new features. CAN (Controler Area Network) is a standard communication protocol of the automotive industry. Among these new features is the CAN database interface, which automatically generates Simulink blocks for CAN messages based on network definitions stored in DBC (a format from the Vector company). Based on the scope of simulation and testing, the user can select a network, an ECU, or individual messages for block generation. The generated CAN blocks includes signal scaling, packing, as well as message scheduling. This productivity enhancement feature greatly simplifies the configuration of HIL simulators for testing a large scale vehicle network.

Enhanced MIL 1553 Support

Many enhancements were made to the MIL-1553 interface, including bus controller support. MIL-1553 is an aerospace standard communication protocol.

ARINC 429 Support

The SBS ARINC 429 PCI-8 and ARINC 429 PCI-16 card drivers are now available. ARINC 429 is an aerospace standard communication protocol.

Distributed Task Monitoring with 0.1 µs Precision

In order to monitor the status of the system, attributes and timings can be selected on the fly, without the need to include extra blocks in the model before compiling. This feature is useful for diagnostics, load balancing over distributed processors and subsystem synchronization monitoring. Task monitoring is particularly critical for models running at sub-100 µs time steps.

BLOBs are Supported Between Host & Target

A BLOB is a binary large object, a large block of data stored in a database, such as an image or sound file. The RT-LAB 7.1 API allows transfer of these data objects to and from the simulation.
