OPAL-RT’s wide selection of validated I/O expansion boxes enable the expansion of the amount of I/Os or communication networks on a given simulator platform. Multiple expansion boxes can be added to increase the capabilities of a simulator, delivering the widest variety of test possibilities for different applications in various industries.
The OP4520 is an I/O expansion part of the OP4500 family, using the Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA to provide additional inputs and outputs for existing OPAL-RT simulators and expansion units. OP4520 provides up to 128 additional I/Os together with high-speed SFP communication or PCI-Express links for communicating with OPAL-RT simulators, such as the OP4510, OP5600 and OP5707, in a variety of configurations.
The OP5607 is an I/O expansion unit using the Xilinx Virtex-7™ FPGA to provide additional inputs and outputs for existing OPAL-RT simulators and expansion units. OP5607 provides up to 256 additional I/Os, while offering high-speed SFP communication links for communicating with OPAL-RT simulators, like the OP5600 and OP5707, in a variety of configurations.
Scalable, powerful and cost-effective, the OP7020 is a compact Virtex-7™ FPGA-based processor and fiber optic I/O expansion unit. The OP7020 is optimized for use in the simulation of large HVDC MMC converters ,with a capability of simulating 1500 MMC cells within 500 nanoseconds. OP7020 is also used to develop MMC and complex power electronic controllers.
The OP7000 is OPAL-RT’s most powerful and flexible multi-FPGA expansion unit. For the maximum performance available or for a system with optimal flexibility, the OP7000 is the solution. Backed by decades of development of super-fast hardware, the OP7000 offers a system that combines performance, flexibility and an unsurpassed level of reliability.
