Panel Discussion: Validation of Power Electronic Industrial Applications through HIL

In this panel, renowned experts are going to share their vision on the future of the power electronics industry.

The recent converter topologies will be discussed, such as the Dual-Active Bridge and resonant converters in the electric vehicle market, or the penetration of Solid-State Transformers in the power system industry.

Considering the high switching frequencies involved in the power electronics field, control strategies play a key role. In this regard, challenges linked to ECU design, test, and validation will be addressed.

The benefits of real-time simulation for the optimization of the power converters quality and the reduced time-to-market it brings will be mentioned. We will discuss why HIL and RCP became essential steps of product development and innovation for Medium-Voltage and High-Voltage applications and how it could be democratized for Low-Voltage high-frequency applications as well.
