Problem & Solution
EXataGUI.exe has stopped working

Problem

Recently, when I try to launch Exata CPS GUI on my Windows PC,it crashes and refuses to open correctly, showing this error message:

Solution

One of the causes of this start up crash of the GUI, is the Display Adapter driver. Go to the Windows Control Panel >Device Manager>Display adapters :

Right click on the second Adapter (Radeon 500 series in this case), and click on Properties:

If the driver was updated recently (either automatically or manually), click on Roll Back Driver to back to the previously installed version, if this option is hidden, click on Uninstall Devices, Check Delete the driver software for this device. This will delete the latest installed version of the driver. 

Now you can see the driver date and version has changed: 



Now, you should be able to launch Exata CPS GUI correctly:
