Problem & Solution
XG series simulator support only gigabit ethernet links

Potential issue

While connecting native ethernet ports of the simulator to a switch the leds does not light up, you are unable to ping the simulator.

General information

Our generation of XG simulator uses the X11DPL-I motherboards. Theses motherboards have 3 ethernet ports, one is dedicated for the IPMI LAN service that allow the user to access and control the motherboard directly.
The other two eno1 and eno2 will be used by the booted Operating System to communicate through the network.

It is important to notice that both eno1 and eno2 ethernet port only support gigabit links and do not support 10/100 Mbps links.
Theses ports to be connected to a gigabit router or switch to work and relay the ethernet communication over the simulator.
