How to Get the Machine ID of your Host PC

To get the Machine ID of the Host PC, it is possible to do following one of the procedures presented below:

 

1 - Using RT-LAB installation folder

Follow the mentioned path on your windows computer:


For 64-bit computers:     C:\OPAL-RT\RT-LAB\your version of RT-Lab\common\bin\x64  -> (double click) Machine_id (It will generate a .OPAL file)


For 32-bit computers:     C:\OPAL-RT\RT-LAB\your version of RT-Lab\common\bin\x32  -> (double click) Machine_id (It will generate a .OPAL file)


Open the machine_id.opal file with a text editor (notepad) and you will get the machine id information.


2 – Using HYPERSIM installation

2.1 - For HYPERSIM up to 2022.2 verion

Search and open “Activate HYPERSIM 20XX”. It will open a new window like the one below:


Click on “Request a new license”. A new window with the Machine information will be opened.


2.2 - For HYPERSIM 2023.1+

Access the bin folder inside of the Hypersim instalation folder: C:\OPAL-RT\HYPERSIM\hypersim_2023.1.0.o359\Windows\bin

Inside of this folder there is the machine_id executable:


Double-click on the executable, It will run in the background and generate the machine_id.opal file


You can open the machine_id.opal file using the Notepad or the Notepad++ to access the Machine ID information:


3 – Inside of HYPERSIM

          1.      Click on Target

           2.      Choose Localhost

          3.      Go to license

          4.      Click on the information icon

          5.      The machine_id will be displayed in the box
