Problem & Solution
ePHASORSIM: Error - "Failed to initialize, license not valid"

Problem:

The following error occurs when I attempt to run a simulink model with ePHASORSIM components:

Error reported by S-function 'OpIRTS'  in 'XXXXXXX' :                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            ePHASORSIM : Failed to initalize, license not valid

Where 'XXXXXXX' is the name of the model the user is attempting to run. For example, when attempting to run offline the 'phasor01_IEEE39' model in Simulink (located in the ePHASORSIM examples folder), the following error is outputted in Matlab's Diagnostic Viewer:

How do I resolve this license error?

Solution:

This error occurs when the user does not have a valid ePHASORSIM license installed on their host PC. To resolve this error a license must be requested and installed on the user's localhost machine. To clarify, this license is not installed on the target hardware (the simulator) but is installed on the host machine (the machine on which the RT-LAB software is installed). To request and install a license please refer to the following Knowledge Base article: How to Request and Install a License for RT-LAB 11.x+.
