As part of your duties, you will work in a dynamic environment inspired by Agile / Scrum methods. Your goal will be to participate in the deployment of an FPGA simulation algorithm and to develop interfaces between the FPGA and the simulator.

The role of the eFPGAsim team within OPAL-RT is to design software and firmware tools that contribute to the technological innovation of FPGA-based solvers. These solvers are intended for control and simulation applications of electric motors and power electronics.

You will work mainly with MATLAB / Simulink and the JAVA language.

 

Your main tasks will be:

  • Design software and firmware tools for FPGAs;
  • Develop an innovative architecture of solvers and control algorithms;
  • Maintain and support a library of models;
  • Perform testing and validation activities.

To be selected, you will need to have the following profile:

  • The bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering;
  • Experience in software development and micro-software (knowing embedded systems);
  • Have worked with MATLAB / Simulink and FPGAs;
  • Have good knowledge in object-oriented programming.

It will be an asset if you have the following skills:

  • Experience in JAVA programming;
  • Experience with Python;
  • Knowledge of National Instruments products;
  • Knowledge in power electronics;
  • Knowledge in signal processing;
  • Knowledge in modeling.
