President and CTO

Jean Bélanger

As an electrical engineer, Jean co-founded OPAL-RT in 1997 and built it with the vision of bringing high-end real-time simulation tools to all engineers and scientists. Today, under his direction and technological leadership, OPAL-RT has become a world-renowned developer of state-of-the-art real-time simulators capable of simulating all types of mechanical and electrical systems. Prior to founding OPAL-RT, Jean led a successful career at Hydro-Québec in the domain of power system design and simulation, and is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering.

Lise Laforce

As a mechanical engineer, Lise Laforce co-founded OPAL-RT in 1997. Throughout her career, she has played a pivotal role in securing the company’s financing, organizing operations to meet sales, marketing, and production objectives, and managing legal, administrative, and human resources functions. Recently, she transitioned these responsibilities to focus on mentoring the next generation of leaders, equipping them to tackle technological challenges and deliver the innovation our clients demand.

Chief Financial Officer

Manon Dégarie

Manon brings extensive experience in the financial sector, having served as a trusted advisor in numerous successful turnarounds, acquisitions, and financing initiatives. Prior to joining OPAL-RT, she was the Vice President of Finance at Triotech Amusement Inc., where she distinguished herself in strategic financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, and risk management. Her proven track record in driving financial performance and fostering innovation across diverse industries positions her as a key asset to OPAL-RT.

Pierre-François Allaire

Backed by his lengthy career at OPAL-RT TECHNOLOGIES and extensive industry experience, Pierre-François’s leadership and strategic vision have driven the company’s success by setting new sales records; establishing the company as a leader in power electronics real-time simulation for automotive, aerospace, and industrial markets.
