Real-Time Simulation of On-Board Charger (OBC) Power Electronics Systems

Data Centers

Focused on electric vehicle On-Board Charger (OBC) applications, this demo showcases real-time simulation and testing of the OBC and key power conversion circuits, including Boost and LLC converters. By combining microsecond-level CPU-based control simulation with nanosecond-level FPGA-based power electronics simulation, it demonstrates integrated multi-timescale simulation capabilities for OBC control development, system validation, and performance evaluation.

Real-Time Simulation of a 10 kV Solid-State Transformer (SST)

Data Centers

This demo showcases an SST real-time simulation platform for 10 kV-class power systems, featuring a front-end CHB AC/DC converter and an LLC-based high-frequency DC/DC converter. Powered by OPAL-RT’s High-Speed Converter Solver (HSCS), the platform enables nanosecond-level FPGA-based real-time simulation of power electronics. The platform supports SST performance evaluation and complex testing across different topologies and operating conditions.
