Major RT-LAB versions are released twice a year in January and July.
Starting with version 2024.1, each major RT-LAB release will support the last 6 MATLAB/Simulink releases available at launch date. This covers 3 years of MATLAB/Simulink releases.
Note: MATLAB/Simulink R2015b, the last version supporting 32-bit functionalities, will be maintained until the end of 2023 for RT-LAB only, not for toolboxes.
To reach the goals of our new RT-LAB Release Schedule and MATLAB/Simulink Compatibility policy, we will gradually cease MATLAB/Simulink version compatibility and support starting with the January 2023.1 RT-LAB release until release 2024.1 in January 2024. Here are the detailed supported MATLAB/Simulink versions.

This policy is for better transparency toward our customers and to provide them more predictability. This will enable our customers to plan how and when to evaluate, test, and install new releases.
By supporting 3 years of MATLAB/Simulink releases compatibility, we cover the needs of the vast majority of our customers while keeping great backward compatibility for everyone.
Supporting fewer MATLAB/Simulink versions in each major RT-LAB release means that our dedicated team will have more time to provide our customers better software and more of the new features requested.
