The distance relay is one of the most important protection relays used in high voltage lines. Its function is to detect electrical faults based on the calculation of the fault impedance, in order to de-energize the line and avoid the fault propagation through the network.
The object of this presentation is to show the capabilities of Hypersim to ensure the HIL testing and validation of the ANSI 21 distance protection in our digital relay ARKENS PR.
