RT22 | Digital-Twin of a Real Microgrid Project in Brazil

Microgrids are becoming a trend for the future of distribution grids. In this way it is important to evaluate its operation when connected to the main grid as well as when in islanding mode. Different analysis can be done to analyze the microgrid operation under different conditions. In 2022, a real microgrid was built in Curitiba, Brazil, integrating Solar PV generation, Battery Energy Storage, controllable loads and a carport system, as a pilot project to test this integration in the distribution grid. To perform deeper analysis, the same microgrid was modeled in HYPERSIM, allowing to perform different studies and analysis.
