RT22 | Co-Simulation of Power and Energy Systems
Presentation, Hardware-In-the-Loop (HIL), Power Systems
2022-10-19

Several states and utilities have committed to 100 percent clean electricity or “net-zero” emissions, and EV adoption could drive overall load growth of 10% by 2030 and 38% by 2050. The current grid isn’t designed to integrate the renewables and EVs. It could cause feeder overloading, harmonics, degradation of transformers, protective equipment, etc. This makes it all the more important to perform Hardware-In-the-Loop simulations.
