The presentation introduces the Laboratory of SmartGrids and Digital Substations, which focuses on experimental research, compliance testing, and real-time digital simulation (Hardware-in-the-loop). The lab features experimental testing setups and has Brazil's highest power capacity for dynamic testing of distributed energy resources, at 300 kVA, inaugurated in December 2021. It works with systems and equipment for photovoltaic and wind power generation, special protection systems, electric mobility, distributed storage/microgrids, and cybersecurity, and is accredited by Inmetro.
