Nouman Sadiq, technical lead for motor drive systems at Collins Aerospace, analyzes critical architectural considerations and best practices in Model-Based Design (MBD) for electric drive systems. Practical use cases are explored across key verification and design domains, including the development of motor control algorithms, power quality assessment, and electrical fault hazard analysis. This presentation was part of the workshop Controls Development and Testing for Electrical Aviation, co-hosted by IAAPS and University of Bath at the IAAPS facility on September 3, 2026.
