In this webinar, held on September 24, 2026, Brian Kindinger and Sébastien Cense examined the converter trends shaping tomorrow’s power systems and the implications for real-time testing. The presentation showed how Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation can be used to test real controllers against high-fidelity virtual power stages, safely reproduce faults and edge cases, and accelerate validation before committing to costly power hardware. It also introduced OPAL-RT’s High-Speed Converter Simulation (HSCS) capabilities and demonstrate how extremely small real-time simulation steps can enable HIL testing of demanding high-frequency converter applications.
