Communication protocols

Protocols tailored to your application

Nearly every modern engineering system employs some sort of critical, digital communication protocol. Our simulators emulate industry-standard communication protocols, enabling users to perform the most realistic real-time simulations possible. Explore our comprehensive list of supported protocols below to learn more.

INTEGRATION

Our approach to communication protocols

Our real-time simulator architecture leverages standard Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) components to minimize costs and maximize flexibility for users. Most communication protocol software drivers run directly on the simulator’s CPU, eliminating the need for additional hardware. Many drivers can be activated via software licenses for RT-LAB and HYPERSIM simulation platforms.

For protocols requiring specialized hardware—such as those in the automotive and aerospace industries—carefully selected add-on modules ensure optimal hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) performance. Additional functionality, including extra Ethernet ports or precision time synchronization, can be seamlessly integrated through expansion modules, just like a desktop computer.
