Technical Lab Visit at Fraunhofer IEE
As part of RT26 Europe, participants will have the opportunity to join an exclusive technical tour of Fraunhofer IEE, one of Europe’s leading research institutes for energy systems and energy technology.
During the visit, explore the laboratories and testing facilities where next-generation technologies are developed and validated for intelligent low- and medium-voltage networks, converter-dominated grids, renewable energy integration, energy storage systems and e-mobility.
Participants will discover advanced testing environments, configurable distribution network infrastructures and large-scale outdoor facilities for solar, wind and hybrid energy systems, with a closer look at how research and real-world testing are helping address the challenges of the energy transition.

The Fraunhoffer IEE
Hosted at the Fraunhofer Institute for Energy Economics and Energy System Technology (IEE) in Kassel, this event takes place in one of Europe’s leading research environments for the energy transition. With state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to power systems, grid integration, renewable energy, and innovative testing technologies, the Fraunhofer IEE provides the ideal setting for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and hands-on learning.

Preferential hotel rates for RT26 attendees
A limited number of rooms have been reserved for RT26 Conference Europe participants at the Golden Tulip Kassel Hotel Reiss, conveniently located just 2 minutes on foot from Kassel Hauptbahnhof and approximately 3 minutes from the conference venue.
A preferential rate has been arranged for attendees, with Standard Rooms available from €132/night, Deluxe Rooms from €142/night, and Suites from €162/night (single occupancy). Rates include breakfast and VAT; a 5% city accommodation tax applies additionally.
Participants wishing to benefit from these rates must book directly with the hotel by 16 October 2026, quoting “RT 2026 Europe” when making the reservation. Bookings can be made by email at info@hotelreiss.com and require a valid credit card to guarantee the reservation. Rooms remaining after the booking deadline will be released for general sale.
