Martin Suberski, Power Electronics and Real-Time Systems Specialist at TU Ilmenau Transfer GmbH, explores the advances and key challenges associated with DC electrical networks for electric aircraft. The presentation examines the key methods of integrating and coordinating of power sources and explain how the DC electrical network is managed to meet power demand across key operating modes. This presentation was part of the workshop Controls Development and Testing for Electrical Aviation, co-hosted by IAAPS and University of Bath at the IAAPS facility on September 3, 2026.
