PROFINET IO-Device

The PROFINET IO-Device driver enables the simulator to communicate with equipment configured with a PROFINET IO-Controller interface, forming a key part of any PROFINET IO system. The simulator creates instances that allow controllers to connect and exchange read/write commands using the PROFINET IO protocol.

The PROFINET IO-Device interface supports PROFINET IO RT and operates over TCP/IP through an Ethernet link. It can be detected using DCP (Discovery and Configuration Protocol). Simply load a GSDML file and select the configuration that aligns with your network setup and IO controller(s).
