Integrating the Future

Traditional road and track tests are too costly and take too long to complete. OPAL-RT’s systems overcome obstacles the automotive industry faces when testing autonomous vehicle by migrating physical testbeds onto simulation platforms. OPAL-RT systems are flexible enough to integrate each new technology as it is introduced to the vehicle, from data fusion and deep learning to new sensors such as LIDAR.

ORCHESTRA: The Autonomous Vehicle Co-Simulation on Four Platforms

In order to simulate an autonomous vehicle, several different software are needed. RT-LAB Orchestra provides a platform that can combine all these tools to digitally simulate the entire vehicle while eliminating concerns relating to the interaction of diverse models from different vendors. In addition, RT-LAB Orchestra co-simulation on four platforms: PC, OPAL-RT Simulator for real time and HPC/Cloud. This results in an increased effectiveness of simulation in the design process, a decreased time to market and a reduction in overall costs.

RT-LAB Orchestra: Present in All Steps of Your Development

The Power of Partnership

RT-LAB ORCHESTRA offers an extensive list of simulation tools already tested and integrated into its suite of intelligent vehicle solutions. For those seeking more customization, OPAL-RT provides the expertise to integrate new partners and extend the capabilities of your system.

Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems Applications

Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) are systems developed to automate/adapt/enhance vehicle systems for safety and better driving. Safety features are designed to avoid collisions and accidents by offering technologies that alert the driver to potential problems, or to avoid collisions by implementing safeguards and taking over control of the vehicle. Adaptive features may automate lighting, provide adaptive cruise control, automate braking, incorporate GPS/ traffic warnings, connect to smartphones, alert driver to other cars or dangers, keep the driver in the correct lane, or show what is in blind spots.

Highlights and Benefits

Flexibility

RT-LAB Orchestra is FMI compatible, it allows you to easily connect and integrate your cards and can be run using different operational systems and platforms. In addition, RT-LAB Orchestra works on all means of validation: MIL, SIL and HIL.

Optimization

Choose the computing cores on which your models will run. Multiple sessions of RT-LAB Orchestra can be combined to fully harness your hardware platform.

IP Protection

Thanks to the Orchestra API, you can share your compiled models with different users while safeguarding your intellectual property.

OPAL-RT Simulators

Based on Intel® Xeon® E5 processor with up to 32-cores, the OP5031 simulator serves as an ideal master system for configurations for RT-LAB Orchestra. It is possible to connect I/O expansion buses or any communication protocols.

High-performance computing

For massive testing capabilities, RT-LAB Orchestra runs on High-performance computing (HPC) running Linux or Windows operating systems.

Cloud

RT-LAB Orchestra can be run on demand through cloud computing for an unequalled flexibility and availability.
