HowTo
Using Simulink Test for test automation

How To Use Simulink Test ?

Simulink Test allows the insertion of test vectors in a Simulink model. This is mainly used for test automation. Unlike Python scripts, Simulink Test allows precise time management, therefore time-based tests can be done (e.g. perform a sequence of actions with precise time delays).

The main block in the Simulink Test toolbox is Test Sequence. You have to see it as an input block which generates input signals or parameters for the model under test.

When you open the mask of the Test Sequence block, user can define the set of actions to be performed and how the output signals should be generated. In each step, user can define the output signals to generate. Input signals, local variables, parameters and constants can be used as well.

Transition conditions can be defined as well to jump from a step to another.
