Problem & Solution
LabVIEW SDK: License error 8108

This error indicates that the expiration date in the license is past the date on the target. The first step is to make sure that you have an updated license that is not expired. Install this license with the OPAL-RT License Manager.

If you have an updated license and are still getting this error, there are some other causes specific to the LabVIEW SDK. See the solutions below:

Note that when you use the OPAL-RT License manager, it stores the license on the host computer. This license is packaged in the stream files in the eHS project with the eHS circuit information, or in the case of machines, in the Machines Manager. It is during deployment that this stream is transferred to the target. If you are getting this error during deployment, try the following:

1. Using NI MAX, check the target date to make sure it is correct.

2. Go to the following location: "C:\ProgramData\OPAL-RT\License Framework\Deployment Licensing\" and delete the "lic" and "licence_map" folders. Then re-deploy.

3. If both of these do not work, then you need to update the eHS stream file, and if machines are used, update the Machines stream as well. If you had an older license when the stream was last generated, it is possible that it still contains the old license information, and this conflict is causing the error.
