WEBINAR | Advancing Off-Highway Vehicle Autonomy through Simulation
The development of off-highway autonomous vehicles is highly challenging and features a wide range of mobile ground robotic applications across several industries including agriculture, mining, construction, and defense. A lack of road and varying terrain introduces complexity beyond that faced by self-driving cars in urban environments. This webinar will bring insight on how simulation, including Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) testing, can benefit autonomous off-highway product development and research. The webinar will also provide an overview of 4DV-SIM, a flexible 3D simulation environment made specifically for autonomous systems and robots. Viewers will learn how vehicles and sensors (e.g., LiDAR, Camera) can be integrated vehicles into the environment to support MIL, SIL, HIL and DIL applications.
