How to activate USB ports in the BIOS Question I would like to connect a USB mouse and/or a USB keyboard to the simulator, but these devices are not recognized. What should I do ?
Answer By default, the USB interfaces are deactivated in the targets. To activate them, proceed as follows : 1) Connect a PS/2 keyboard to the target (this one is always activated) 2) Reboot the target 3) At the beginning of the booting sequence, press the "DEL" key to enter the BIOS, which should look like the picture below (differences may be noticed, depending on the BIOS version). Get into the "Advanced Chipset Control" section.
4) Get into the "South Bridge Configuration" section
5) Enable the "USB functions" and the "USB 2.0 Controller" 6) Save and Exit The USB ports should now be activated ! IMPORTANT NOTE : some applications (especially async processes) may be affected by USB ports being enabled, so please turn the USB ports off as soon as you do not need them anymore.
