NEXTGRID: Innovative PHIL for Grid Forming Converter Control Research
In this webinar, learn why PHIL was the only possibility for Duisburg-Essen University to achieve the research goals for the NextGRID project and how OPAL-RT & Lucas Nülle helped with the Microgrid PHIL Test Bench set-up.
The NEXTGRID project focuses on the development of innovative network-forming control & operation management concepts, novel protection & control concepts and information & communication structures and their validation and demonstration of the possible potential with regard to system stability by means of a test & demonstration facility with the previous described PHIL system. Wide Area Monitoring and a Dynamic Security Assessment System will be applied to investigate future system operation.
